We are, all of us, growing older together. And so this dream is also a little bit for ourselves — a promise that no one who has given a lifetime should be made to feel a burden at the end of it.
It is the vision of Uddyom to generate enough funds to construct retirement homes for the aged. The place will be different from other old age homes as here, Uddyom plans to engage the residents productively in various ways. Thus, the residents will be able to feel that they are still needed by the society. The aim is to provide the residents rent-free stay in the homes.
After completing 10 years of its journey, Uddyom is now ready to take the leap to the next level. Uddyom needs to raise funds to acquire land and construct a home for the aged. In line with our vision, we will create a space distinct from any other old age home — we plan to engage the residents productively in various ways, thus reinforcing their sense of utility to the society.
It is our most ambitious dream yet, and perhaps our most personal. Brick by brick, as we have built everything — patiently, together, and in no particular hurry — we intend to see it through.
